In February 2021. was held CEDEF web panel “Climate change, energy transition and the pandemic” with the managing directors of leading companies in the field of energy and ecology. Special guest and participant at the panel was the State secretary of the Ministry for Environmental Protection of Republic of Serbia Mr. Ivan Karić.

The panel was hosted by Ana B. Bovan, president of CEDEF, professor at Belgrade Metropolitan University.
The panelists pointed out the specifics that have made a mark on the energy and climate situation during the pandemic, in which ways the pandemic has impacted the business in this field, as well as the expectations that Serbian energy will have to face through the transformations that await in the future.

One of CEDEF’s crucial programme areas, which is also one of the SDGs of the United Nations, is Quality Education. At the beggining of 2020, the CEDEF Councel reached a decision to begin a research in lifelong learning area. It was conducted in the period between March and June 2020, and it is a part of CEDEF’s multiannual project: “Leaders of Sustainable Development“.
Within the scope of its educational activities during the period from 2017 to 2019, CEDEF, in cooperation with the City of Belgrade, the Secretariat of Energy of the City of Belgrade and Stonicom, held educational lectures on the topics of Energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy sources, for more than 15 000 students.
The president of CEDEF, Prof. Ana Bovan, gave a speach on the annual conference of the European lobbyists that is traditionally organized by the Public Affairs Community of Europe (PACE), which was held in May 2019 in Prague. Bovan has been an active member in the Community for many years. She had spoken on the topic of the new Lobbying Law in Serbia, reputation of lobbyists, as well as the mutual exchange of experiences with multiple national associations across Europe that contributes to development and new regulations.
CEDEF organized and conducted a specialist education on the topic of lobbying in december 2019: “New lobbying law – how to represent interests in Serbia“. The main focus of the programme was a presentation of the new Law on Lobbying, which was passed by the National Assembly in 2018. The lecture was given by Prof. Ana Bovan, the president of CEDEF, and the visiting lecturer was Mr Nenad Vukovic, attorney and president of the Serbian Lobbysts Association.
