HOW TO ACHIEVE ENERGY EFFICIENT CITIES AND SIGNIFICANT SAVINGS: DISTRICT HEATING USING BIOMASS AND INSULATION, example of Komlo city in Hungary
CEDEF and Cluster for Ecological Energy and Ecological Culture ECOPANONIA, organized the Round table HOW TO ACHIEVE ENERGY EFFICIENT CITIES AND SIGNIFICANT SAVINGS: DISTRICT HEATING USING BIOMASS AND INSULATION, example of Komlo city in Hungary, under the institutional auspices of Vojvodina Chamber of Commerce, PKV. The roundtable was held on 22 May 2014, in the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina in Novi Sad. The aim of the Round Table was to gather municipalities, district heating plants and energy managers of Serbia to provide them with specific and helpful information, to share experiences regarding the potential use of biomass as a fuel in district heating systems in Serbia and to share best practises and excellent results in the Hungarian city Komlo. They have achieved more than 20% savings in Komlo through the use of district heating and biomass boilers combined with the use of insulation in all buildings in the city.
