Since its founding CEDEF nurtures a very active international cooperation with similar organizations and institutions across Europe. International cooperation is achieved through the participation of representatives CEDEF in the work and activities of international organizations and is implemeted through: facilitating and participating in panels and events in the field of EE and RES; implementation of bilateral agreements on cooperation with similar organizations and institutions in Central, South and Eastern Europe and in the
region; exchange of information and publications; organizing joint projects and events.
CEDEF international activities establish and maintain contacts at the bilateral level with international organizations and participation in international conferences and seminars in order to convey knowledge and
information and to provide practical assistance to energy managers in local government and businesses in these countries.
Through intensive international cooperation CEDEF has the opportunity to become acquainted with the experiences and to discuss opportunities for cooperation on joint projects, all aiming to accelerate integration
of Serbia into the world trends and adapting to EU standards in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energy.
MACEDONIA
The signing of the bilateral agreement on cooperation, and the Memorandum of Cooperation between the CEDEF and Macedonian partners Trajkovski & Partners Consulting, strengthened international cooperation and CEDEF presence in the region as a leading expert organization in the field of energy efficiency and green energy. The Memorandum was signed by President CEDEF prof. dr Ana Bovan and director Trajkovski & Partners Consulting Jasmina Trajkovski at the Fourth Annual International CEDEF Energy Forum titled: WATER-ENERGY EFFICIENCY AND SUSTAINABILITY IN SOUTHEAST EUROPE, which took place in September 2013 in Vrnjacka Banja.
Montenegro
Extending the influence, joint project activities and development of the Network energetkih managers Serbia - MEMS are the main pillars of cooperation between CEDEF and strategic partner from Montenegro, E3 Consulting in Podgorica. At the Second Summit MEMS held in early 2013 in Belgrade, Memorandum on cooperation was officially signed a between CEDEF and E3 Consulting, which was signed by President CEDEFa, prof. dr Ana Bovan and chairman of E3 Consulting Slobodan Daković. After that, the subsequent meetings followed between management CEDEF, leadership E3 Consulting, who represented the Director Milica Daković, and officials of Montenegro. The delegation of CEDEF was received by dr Vladimir Kavaric, Minister of Economy of Montenegro, as well as the Assistant Secretary of State, representatives of the Association of Employers of Montenegro and CEO of ETG Mladen Bajković who participated in the Third International CEDEF Energy Forum.
Hungary
Hungary has also become an international partner CEDEFa. International Development Cluster from Hungary "Futura" is an organization representing the Hungarian producers of technology, equipment and services in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energy sources. CEDEF and cluster Futura signed a Memorandum of Cooperation during the conference of CEDEF on biomass, in May 2013 in Novi Sad.
Croatia
CEDEF achieved successful cooperation over the past years in the field of education and exchange knowledge with representatives of Croatian experts. UNDP Croatia hosted the training of energy managers that CEDEF led by Goran Pihler 2011, and a representative of the UNDP Croatia has attended several conferences were CEDEF was a speaker and Special guest. Collaboration based on the exchange of experience and transfer of know-how has continued through the joint project activities.
Poland
CEDEFa chairman, prof. dr Ana Bovan has been engaged for three consecutive years as moderator of the expert panel of the prestigious Economic Forum in Poland. It is this cooperation and partnership CEDEF with another country in Central-European region, Poland: Foundation Institute for European Studies. Economic Forum, which gathers more than 2,500 participants for over two decades, and is rightly called "Davos Central - Eastern Europe" brings together representatives of government, business and science from around the world in one place.
Austria
Through the Austrian Embassy in Serbia and the Austrian Cluster Agriculture - ACC, cedef organized the Investment business conference on Biomass - Experiences of Austria and the potentials of Serbia. It was attended by over 300 representatives of companies and institutions from Serbia and Austria. The companies with the knowledge, experience and technology were able to showcase their best practices to local Serbian providers of biomass and project owners. B2B meetings brought together interested parties in the special part of the conference.
European Union
CEDEF actively represents and advocates the policies and objectives of the EU in the field of sustainable energy through a whole array of activities.
In that view CEDEF publishes studies and research, as well as regulatory Guides that underpin EU standards that need to be
followed and implemented by regulators.
Several years in a row CEDEF has been actively promoting EUSEW - EU Sustainable Energy Week and its ideas, through organising a range of educational and instructional meetings for energy managers and young people in primary and high schools.
The President of CEDEF prof. dr Ana Bovan is actively present in Brussels. On one EUSEW edition, in 2012 Mrs Bovan presented the CEDEF publication on sustainable building in the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) during EUSEW in the presence of Henri Malossi, President of the EESC, Gordana Zrnic, director of SCA in Brussels and Vesna Arsic, RS ambassador in Belgium.
