BIOMASS, A RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCE: EXPERTISE OF FRANCE AND POTENTIALS OF SERBIA THAT COLD BE DEVELOPED ON A LOCAL LEVEL

French Institute in Serbia, in cooperation with the Embassy of France in Serbia and Central European Development Forum, CEDEF, organized a Roundtable discussion on evaluation of biomass and its use at the local level in France and Serbia. French and Serbian experts presented challenges they are facing in their countries regarding the development of biomass. In order to show the various possibilities of biomass use, they presented specific examples which are promoted and used at the local level.

Being aware of the many advantages of this inexhaustible source of energy, many of the participants who attended the Roundtable were then able to talk with the lecturers, in particular about the perspectives of the development of biomass in Serbia. With regard to the apparent enthusiasm of all the participants during these discussions, the biomass sector represents fertile ground in Serbia, and such meetings should be an announcement for new ways of Franco-Serbian cooperation that are yet to come!
