First Energy Week successfully finished

Organized by Central European Development Forum – CEDEF, Energy Secreteriat City of Belgrade and under the auspices of City of Belgrade and Ministry of Mining and Energy Republic of Serbia, for the first time in Serbia the manifestation “ENERGY WEEK – Nedelja Energije” was implemented from May 29^th to June the 2^nd 2017 in Belgrade.

The event was opened by the Minister of Mining and Energy Aleksandar Antic, President of CEDEF and Dean of the Metropolitan University Prof Dr Ana Bovan, Acting Head of EU Delegation for Eastern Department in Serbia Oskar Benedikt and Secretary for Energy of the City of Belgrade, Marko Stojanovic.

17^th of May 2017, Belgrade Fair

Climate and energy diplomacy of the 21st century

Central European Development Forum CEDEF, in the framework of the International Technical Fair, which was held in Belgrade from 15 to 19 May, on the 17^th of May organized the Conference about climate and energy diplomacy of the 21^st century.

The opening speech was given by Ana Bovan, President of the CEDEF. The speakers were PhD Aca Markovic from the the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia, PhD Kostadin Pušara and Nenad Vukovic, President of the Serbian Lobbyist Society.

Considering the fact that climate and energy safety are taking place as the framework of the survival and prosperity of the whole planet, the purpose of the conference was to draw attention to the importance of the global cooperation as one of the primary conditions for success. The conference highlighted the climate and energy diplomacy as one of the novelties of the of economy diplomacy and security.

Climate diplomacy of the European Union is focused on the implementation of the Paris agreement and climate safety, while the energy diplomacy of the EU is focused on energy safety and diversification of energy sources. The conference provided information and understanding of the fundamental factors, the lobbying strategies, challenges and instruments which are being used in the climate and economic diplomacy arena of the 21st century.

The conference brought together over 60 visitors who had the opportunity to hear about the most current topics in the sphere of diplomacy and lobbying from the experts.

2 – 3. March 2017, Novi Sad

International Energy and Investment Days 2017.

Central European Development Forum CEDEF, Novi Sad Fair and Provincial Secretariat for energy, construction and transport APV have successfully organized the sixth annual International Energy and Investment Days that took place 2 and 3 March 2017 in Novi Sad.

International Energy and Investment Days were opened by the Deputy Minister of the Provincial Government Djordje Milićević, Minister in the Ministry of Mining and Energy of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Antić, the Provincial Secretary for Energy, Construction and Transport AP Vojvodina Nenad Grbić, General Director of Srbijagas Dušan Bajatović, General Director of Novi Sad Fair Slobodan Cvetković and General Director of CEDEF Maja Barać Stojanović.
